- About Me
- I’m Emma, a BACP accredited Humanistic & Integrative Counsellor. I provide a safe, confidential and non judgemental space for adults and young people aged 13 and over. My approach is relational and developmental, grounded in the belief that our past and present experiences shape who we are, how we feel and how we relate to others. I work collaboratively to explore what may be limiting you, and to support you in building confidence, self understanding and a more authentic way of living. I have 25 years of NHS experience and currently work as an NHS Staff Counsellor alongside my small private practice. I have extensive experience supporting young people through my work as a counsellor in a Nottinghamshire sixth form, and I have a deep passion for grief, bereavement and anticipatory dying work, shaped by my time with Nottinghamshire Hospice. My work also includes supporting people who are navigating a life limiting illness and preparing for the end of life, as well as those grieving after both expected and sudden loss. In addition, I specialise in work related issues, including stress, burnout and emotional strain within professional environments.
